Ah, I completely understand. I’d recommend booking flights & accommodations. Then you can do your food/activity research separately – but you don’t have to stress about these too much because you want to leave a bit of room for spontaneity.

For your phone, a really great tip is either downloading the offline version of google maps for whatever location you’re going to OR you can use the wifi in your hotel to start a map before you exit wifi & the map will continue guiding you without internet!
